Raidho is the fifth rune of the Elder Futhark. After voice, insight and conscious communication through Ansuz, it brings what must follow, movement. Raidho stands for the path itself, for journey, progress and life as an ongoing process.

This rune makes it clear that nothing remains static. Everything is in motion, whether outwardly visible or within. Stillness is not the absence of movement, but often a problem of direction.

The sound value of Raidho is R. A rolling, dynamic sound. It carries rhythm within it and points to processes, cycles and order within movement.

Symbolically, Raidho is associated with travel, the wagon and the path. Not as aimless wandering, but as conscious movement. It describes motion that has meaning and follows both an inner and outer order.
